Pro Guide to Walt Disney World | Princess Edition
It’s no secret that I love Walt Disney World. We even did our gender reveal in the Magic Kingdom. So when Angela Worley sent me a guest-post about Disney I was all ears. I have such a wanderlust heart and travel is one of my top loves of life. This year I’m planning on adding more travel posts to my website. So come along on the adventure. Let’s start at Disney! You’re gearing up for your big trip to The Happiest Place On Earth and finalizing all of the little details to make it as magical as possible. When it comes to a Disney trip, one of the most exciting factors for many is the opportunity to meet their favorite princesses! Check out our pro guide to meeting Disney royalty.
Play by The Princess Rules
People of all ages can come and enjoy the Disney parks, including meeting characters and princesses. However, keep in mind that individuals above the age of 14 cannot dress as characters. This means that your little ones, up to the age of 14, can dress to the nines and look exactly like their favorite princess (these princess dresses for girls are a great option!).
Those above the age of 14 that still want to get into the Disney spirit, can go Disneybounding, where they can dress in clothing that is reminiscent of a particular character without being dressed exactly like them. And of course, there is always the classic Disney t-shirt and mouse ears!
Use the Disney App Wisely
Perhaps the biggest piece of advice we can give is to learn to use My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website and use it as much as you can! You can even download the app on your phone. Not only does it provide information for ride wait times and the ability to reserve FastPass+, but it can also lend a hand in showing you which princess is where. You can even make advance reservations to visit princesses by booking a FastPass+. Do some research beforehand- choose which princesses you want to meet and look up to see where they can typically be found.
Princesses are at all of the Walt Disney World Parks: Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.
Come Prepared
You will want to come as prepared as possible for your child’s interaction with the princesses. Make sure you are creating an experience that will be both memorable and positive for your little one. Would they thrive in a personal, intimate setting? Consider making reservations for one of the princess dining options. You can reserve Character Dining experiences by using the MyDisneyExperience.
Are they a bit shy, and perhaps not wanting a face-to-face interaction? Work the shows and parades so that they can still get the princess experience.
Wanting the classic meet and greet? Brainstorm some fun things to ask ahead of time! Questions about their dress, their prince, or their favorite color or food are guaranteed to get a fun response.
