Walt Disney World GENDER REVEAL at the Magic Kingdom

Boy or Girl?

What is your guess?

It just so happened that our vacation to Walt  Disney World aligned with when our gender test results would be sent to me via email.  Can you believe you can find out via a genetic test around 13 weeks, now?

To help capture this pregnancy I’ve tried to celebrate each and every step.

My go-to verse has been Psalm 118:24:

This is the DAY the LORD has MADE..let us rejoice and be GLAD in it.

Pregnancy after loss can be hard (especially when you know way too much about loss like me…after writing  book on it), but we can fight fear with daily gratitude.

So that has been the mantra of this pregnancy.

Plus, I was so excited to be coming out of a a particularly bad few months of all-day morning sickness.

So celebration was in order.

What better place than the Magic Kingdom to find out BOY or GIRL?

Either way, Perry and I were going to be thrilled.  Adding a fourth and final child to our brood is marvelous in itself.  But, of course, our girl hoped for a baby sister and our boys hoped for a baby brother.

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom giddy with excitement.

Main Street USA was all decorated for Christmas, but I was most interested in the balloons!

I asked Patience, the Disney Cast Member holding the balloons, if she had any ideas of how to pull of a Disney gender reveal.

With a twinkle in her eye she said…

” Just wait.  Edwin can be quiet magical.”

She pulled Edwin, an amazing Photo Pass cast member aside, and the two made plans.  They checked the results in my email, positioned our family, and told us our news in this special way.

I can’t thank them enough for taking time to lavish us with this special treatment.

As a note…it was a slow day at Disney (in Disney speak a 10 minute stand-by wait for Thunder Mountain) so I know that impacted the ability of Patience & Edwin to make this happen.  I would never have approached them on a busy day.  We were in luck that it the crowds were low.

Friends, thank you all for celebrating with us!

And thank you Disney for your magic.
