Bible Basics: A Baby Believer Counting Primer Review + Giveaway

Hey friends!

I’m back ringing in the New Year with another incredible giveaway!

This time it’s for an adorable board book for little ones.  Bible Basics: A Baby Believer Counting Primer is a great twist on the traditional toddler and baby book as it provides parents the opportunity to fill the minds of their children with basic knowledge of Christianity.

It’s beautifully written and the illustrations are just sublime.  Another great feature is  that the book is sturdy enough for a teething baby to accidentally sink his teeth into (this is my current reality!) without the book being damaged.   It’s substantially sturdier than all of the other board books we have at our home.   I’m quite impressed!

The author, Danielle Hitchen, and the brilliant illustrator, Jessica Blanchard, are mothers who care about the spiritual formation of little ones.

Hitchen says, “I started to conceptualize a way to teach my young daughter the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith in a way that she could understand. And I thought, concept books are everywhere for children and we teach them to count random things like dogs or trucks, so why don’t we teach them to count meaningful things like persons of the Trinity or the days of creation?” she asks.
Hitchen then realized that a lot of Christian parents also have the same concern for their very young ones.

Isn’t it gorgeous?

I’ve enjoyed sharing this book with my little 6 month old.  My toddler has also enjoyed “reading the book” to me.   The illustrations are quite captivating, evidenced by her desire to pick-up the book entirely on her own and bring it to me for us to read.

And yes, it is super important that our children receive a rich foundation, but one of the best parts of this book is that parents have the opportunity to read these tenants over and over again aloud.   Letting them soak into our minds.  It gives us time each day to speak life into ourselves and our children.

If you’d like to grab a copy you can here.  It would make a wonderful gift for a new mother and father or for the little on in your life. And at a price of only $10 it is extremely affordable.

I’m also giving away a copy to one reader.  Yipee!

disclosure:

On occasion I am extended the opportunity to review books and products.  I only accept review opportunities if the book or product looks like something I would actually purchase if I was walking the aisles of the stores.  All reviews are entirely my own.  I love that I’m compensated with the book and I get to give one away to one of you.  I feel like it’s a win / win.  It supports my book-reading ways and is a small token of appreciation for coming to this site.
