Pinterest has us befuddled. How exactly do we announce our big news when so many choices abound? We can go silly, go a tad uncouth, or maybe just sweet & sappy.
A little more Perry? A little more Sarah? Or get the whole family involved in a fun setup?
But since it’s our FOURTH…we decided to just give it all to you to ANNOUNCE our excitement. Why not be EXTRA when we are adding our final EXTRA?
Yes, you can say “MAY the 4th be with YOU!”
Taking this photo was interesting. We hoped for an outdoor shoot, but the rain messed us up. So the IPHONE was put on timer and we posed. The looks of uncertainty on my children aren’t about the baby, but about the photo timer being done for the hundredth time. Ha! In all actuality the kids are THRILLED.
Or we can do a totally AG Pregnancy Announcement. We saw a couple do this earlier this month. The picture went viral & we thought it was hillarious. This is totally farm humor. Many a bovine has been “preg tested” in this chute. I’m the first wearing a maternity dress.
(Thanks, Jackie {our main farm-man} for taking the photo)
Or, perhaps something a little more traditional and in line with my past pregnancy announcements.
“A LITTLE PUMPKIN IS ON THE WAY!”
Thank you, Molly King for snapping this photo yesterday for me!
Or, we could just tell you the story. Let’s do that now.
Half-way through our 15 year anniversary trip to the Bahamas we found out we had a stowaway (i.e. baby on board!). After realizing something was “off” I took a test and found out that we hadn’t left the children behind as we had thought. Nope, instead this baby was with us snorkeling & jumping off the poolside cliff. So the champagne toasts turned into tap-water toasts and we wrapped our minds around the fact that our sleepless nights were far from over.
I was truly a BAHAMA-MAMA.
Four means we have one more to ADORE.
We find out soon if baby is a boy or a girl. I’m currently 12 weeks and finally over (cross-my-fingers) the 24/7 wrongly named morning sickness. We didn’t tell anyone for some time as we just wanted to keep our sweet little secret to ourselves. A few weeks ago we finally told our children and they have spread the news around our small-town for us.
We overjoyed to know that God has provided us this blessing.
We know you ALL will pray for us on this journey. No matter what…GOD is GOOD.
Thanks for having fun & celebrating our news with us on this post!
