To God goes all the GLORY @tyndalehouse has purchased my board book Wake Up, Little Seed 🌱

It’s a child-sized celebration of farmers, growth, & God!

Last year I went through a long season where I thought my words need to be put on hold. Yet God reminded me that following HIS will, patience, hardwork, and perseverance are the core of any type of growth & harvest.

I am so blessed that God is allowing me to help introduce little ones to the concept that HE is the source of ALL.

Thank you, friends. I’ll never forget meeting my future agent and she asked if I had a big platform (meaning social media followers, speaking engagements, etc…) I said “No, but I live on a farm in a two redlight town and we all support each other.” And that, my friends (as we all know), is the best type of living.

So thank you for your support. I know you are going to love this book!

We are llama grandparents! The llama had a baby. 🦙 We just moved mama and baby from the front pasture to the backyard for safety from coyotes. (Sadly we’ve had a loss of a baby llama before from coyotes in the field.)

While moving the pair I found myself trying to tell Perry that my method of moving the llama would be best.

Then I caught myself. Ha!!

I don’t know anything about livestock. But how often do we try to tell others the best way of doing something when we have no business whatsoever offering advice.

Thankfully he didn’t even roll his eyes at me. We just easily walked this cutie to the backyard! & I got some llama snuggles.

Full disclosure. We used to make fun of this night. Then we had a daughter who begged to go. Now it’s one of their fav traditions.

It’s been a little quiet over here for me on soc

It’s been a little quiet over here for me on social media. Mainly because I have a new addiction: watching the live feed of the animals on our farm at night.

Santa brought a Spartan Camera to our house. I connected it to my phone. And now I’m showing random people pics of the hogs and bobcats like I am a eighty year old lady showing off photos of her grandchildren.

We have raccoons, deer, coyotes, bobcats, and the hogs. I’m anxiously waiting for a bear to make an appearance.

Starting tomorrow morning I‘m blocking myself from social media until I finish rewriting two books.

I’m betting I can get them rewritten fairly fast if I stop using my few extra minutes each day mindlessly scrolling. Anyone else a pro at using online as a tool of procrastination? 🙈

I just signed a publishing contract for my Children’s Board Book

I am over the moon excited.

The book will arrive in 2024 for you to use as a cuddle book as you help your little drift off to daytime dreamland. 💫

It has been a long time dream of mine to be an author of children’s books.

<full disclosure. i signed the contract digitally. but staged a signing photo for fun. if you happen to zoom in on the photo it’s Perry’s medical instructions for his recent surgery. we took the photo because i had on makeup. just keeping it real. ha! why am I telling you? i am fearful some strange soul would zoom in on the contract to discover instructions for post surgery).

I’ve worked for 12 years to get into the children’s market. Don’t ever stop dreaming and working toward goals. “A dream is a wish your heart makes”…& one that you keep working toward.

Can’t WAIT for this book to be in your hands.
